What can you do while you’re waiting for your Logan Airport Taxi Cab to arrive at the airport terminal? We’ve some suggestions for you collected from some of our own customers.

From seafood eateries presenting the best of New England to the most famous burgers in the area, fast-casual dining has something for everyone.

Earlier, Bostonians used to just have access to Dunkin’ coffee and convenience store snacks, but Logan Airport has drastically improved its food options in recent years. Here are all of the best dining options at Logan Airport, from quick bites to outposts of some of the top restaurants in the city.

Terminal A

Test Kitchen For Laws

Although there is Legal Sea Foods at every terminal, the test kitchen’s menu is the most intriguing. It features tried-and-true meals like sesame-crusted yellowfin tuna as well as seasonal experimental dishes like grilled scallops and whole-belly clams. Even though there are grab-and-go items available, the full bar makes this a place to linger. There is also a substantial breakfast menu, albeit it does not focus on seafood, for better or worse.

Friendly’s

Here’s a little-known fact: Since Logan is home to one of the few remaining Friendly’s in Massachusetts, you can still get your grilled tuna melt and top it off with a vanilla milkshake or fudge brownie sundae. Although it isn’t haute cuisine, the level of nostalgia is unmatched.

Upper Street

Alta Strada was once just a little suburban Italian eatery owned by renowned chef Michael Schlow. Although it is now a small East Coast chain, the excellence remains. You can have a hearty portion of chicken parmesan and some crusty garlic bread here while toasting the absence of any travel delays with a glass of wine.

Trade at Terminal B

This establishment delivers a tried-and-true taste of Jody Adam’s similarly named Seaport restaurant. Flatbreads, a hummus platter, an eggplant sandwich, steak fries, and baked shrimp are all included on the Mediterranean menu. More good news: The exquisite Trade burger, complete with harissa aioli and brioche bread, is also available on this menu. There is also a complete bar, much as in all good sit-down airport restaurants.

Otto

It’s a well-known New England pizza chain that consistently delivers, and it definitely outperforms Sbarro. It’s a good idea to try the mashed potato, bacon, and scallion pizza at this point because the thin crusted slices are all reheated before delivery and the toppings go much beyond the traditional fare.

Lucca

The menu is smaller than at the premier North End restaurants, but the pastas are still homemade and flawlessly prepared, which is a welcome airport surprise. The staples are rigatoni, pappardelle bolognese, and baked orecchiette; for those who are truly indulging, there is also a lobster gnocchi starter available. This is a simple pick because there are paninis, salads, and snacks like deviled eggs and garlic bread.

Station C

Shojo

One of Terminal C’s most welcome surprises is this second location of Brian Moy’s adored but diminutive Chinatown eatery. The original menu’s favorites, such as the duck fat fries and pork belly bao, are still accessible, but there are also brand-new items like congee and breakfast options like the hash brown sandwich.

Davio’s

You may still enjoy everything from housemade potato gnocchi to braised beef short ribs to, yep, a 55-day prime aged rib eye with your choice of sauce, at our famous Italian steakhouse chain’s Logan location. This event lasts the entire day: The restaurant starts at 5:30 am and closes a half-hour before the last flight of the day. There are drinks flowing day and night, a substantial breakfast menu, and the restaurant is open 24/7.

Public Market in Boston

This 6,000-square-foot extension of our downtown market offers a wide range of alternatives in one location. In addition to a sizable bar area where you can purchase cocktails, beer, and wine, the menu includes local favorites including Mother Juice, Red’s Best, and Beantown Pastrami. If you don’t have time for a full meal, you can choose an enhanced to-go item from the market.

Station E

Mercato Monica

Although the North End stalwart is a market, it is most known for its delectable sandwiches, particularly its Italian and meatball subs. However, this is more of a sit-down establishment with a full bar and tables where you can also savor pizzas and dinner specialties like baked ziti and chicken Parmesan. Those favorites are reproduced here.

Stephanie’s

People can easily spend an hour or two at the bar at Stephanie’s on Newbury or Tremont enjoying a drink and salad while mingling with other customers. In other words, this is where you go if your flight is delayed and perhaps even if you just want to hang out. Calamari, a lobster roll, and the aforementioned salads are all on the menu. A build-your-own Bloody Mary is available on the complete cocktail menu for those challenging early-morning flights, which just a little bit sweetens the bargain.
